should i feel bad for playing a prank on my family? i didnt realise they would take it this searious.?

there is this place you can go on the internet and you ask it any question in the world and it ALWAYS answers it right...always
"what color are my eyes"--------"blue" RIGHT
"who am i?"-------"michael" RIGHT
but it only works for somebody who has the "magic touch" and i told my family and they really think the internet site that i go to is haunted by a lil boy and they keep trying to get it to work for them, but it wont cause they dont know how to work it. its suppost to be funny, me knowing how and them freaking out cause they cant get it to work but they are very searious and i didnt realise my step mom strongly believes in sperits...so she takes it searsouly and i think she may feel bad that "Peter" wont talk to her. Should i tell any of them or all of them or none at all?

well first of all, pranks like that should be revealed at the end of the pranking. i know that prank. from my opinion, i think you shouldnt tell them if you feel bad about it. But i definatley recommend you to not continue with the prank. maybe if they tell you to do it to them again, just do the prank in the way that everybody does if they do not know how to. (as in write the "correct" petition.) then say it doesnt work anymore. it is your choice to whether tell them or not. i would tell them after the prank but if it was too late and i regret it, i would just let them find out or just say.. "mom, do you know the site that i showed you? i show you how to do it." that way they do not get offended. do not say "mom, do you know the site that i showed you? it was a prank."
