I'm debating with my parents on which to buy for my 1st car...its down to either a 78 VW bus or 87 camero...both are in great condition and run great, botha re for sale for about the same amount, and the camero has a V8...the only problem is which would be easier to get parts for should i need them? also, i might want to customize the car, am i right in assuming that the VW would be easier to do that? thanks

The question more comes down to, how much weed do you intend to smoke. If a large quanity, go with the VW Bus, plus it's great for getting laid. But if you want a lot of speeding tickets, go with the camero.

The first car I bought myself was a 86 Iroc-Z camaro (not camero) and I really enjoyed it but I also got a few tickets for doing burnouts and speeding - A VW bus would be sweet but you'd have more fun with the camaro and the aftermarket for third generation (82-92) camaro's and firebirds is huge.

I have done up several vehicles and my pick of the two would be the Camero ------ because of the one simple reason.... the re-sale of the Chevy is going to be better and more $$'s after you customize and add ground effects ....... CAMERO wins....

Is the VW air cooled or water cooled? If it is water cooled I would go for the camero, if not, then buy it.

the camaro would be easier to get parts for but the bus is cool and most likely cheaper on insurance
