In iTunes click on File> Add File to Library. When the menu shows find your limewire songs and click on one of them> Press CTRL+A to select them all, and then press ENTER. The limewire songs will now be copied into iTunes. Now connect your iPod and they should transfer automatically. If they don't right-click on your iPods Name and select SYNC.

Just remember that you CAN NOT erase your songs from iTunes if you want them to remain on the iPod.

Hum, I don't know why your songs got deleted. With my iPod nano, I hooked up the iPod to the computer and it automatically starts up the iTunes. Once there, the songs I downloaded from Limewire can be added to the library in iTunes by clicking on File--Add File to Folder--then look for the folder thta has your Limewire songs saved on and highlight them all and click on Open or Select. That is how I usually put the songs in my library.. and then sync the iPod. Kinda confusing but hope it helps.

I assume the songs are in a separate directory.

1) Start Itunes and minimize the window (small.. not closed)
2) Open a directory window minimize it also
3) Set them next to each other and copy a couple of tunes into your library by dragging them (copy.. not move)
4) Plug in your Nano.. (I am assuming that your nano is registered to this computer). The nano should appear in the list on the left
5) Drag the songs from the library to the nano.

now try it... if this works then go back and do the rest of them.
