Depends on the car and the maintenance. That is quite true with a car, because a well maintained car will last for a really long time. However the question you should ask is how much will I spend on this car? So the answer is alot. Land Rovers are notorious for having bad reliability, especially the new ones. So beaware. You may really want this car, but it may have a lot of problems. If you look at J.D Power ratings the new Land Rovers had around 400 problems per 100 cars (in the reliabilty area for cars over 3 years). This was 100 more as the next one up, which was Saab at about 300 problems . So Land Rovers are not known to be reliable. If you really want a reliable suv in the range of a Land Rover or with the prestige I recommend the bullet proof Land Cruiser. It has just as much off-road capability and it really has good reliability.

I wanted you to know these facts.
Sorry I forgot to add one very important factor: If you really like the car then the above doesn't matter too much. What you should concern yourself with is the current condition of the car and then maintain it well and it will last. Land Rovers do last a long time. Again it is up to how much you really want this car.

How many miles it will go up to until it's completely done with all depends on you. How well did the owners maintain the car? Did they change the oil on time? Did they follow all regular maintenance to the letter? How hard is the driver on the gas pedal? What type of climate does the car exist in?
All of which are factors on how long a car will last. A car in Phoenix Arizona driven regularly and well maintained will outlast the average car that gets hammered going down the rutted streets of San Francisco, or a car that rapidly rusts away on salted roads in rust belt States like Minnesota, Michigan, and New York.

Generally, cars are pretty well made nowadays. It really depends on how the prior owners took care of it. Ask for a vehicle maintenance history and pull a carfax. Then, take the car to a mechanic for a look (usually takes $100-$150 but worth it).

Depends on how well you take care of the vehicle, i.e. maintenance, and repairs. Change oil every 3,000 miles, change transmission fluid (automatic) every 55,000 miles, and it should last you for a couple hundred thousand miles.

You may have to buy one. I see so many of these discoveries needed to have that part replaced.
