Or is there an infinite amount of them, like deminsions or something.

I am no expert, but I believe that there are supposedly an infinite number of parallel universes. In each of them, something is different or unique to that universe. So only certain things might be opposite, but I don't see how anybody is actually going to be able to test this theory.

First, I have to say that In Brian Green's "Elegant Universe", I read that string-theorists allow for an infinite number of manifold's existing in the same time-space continium, although unreachable by us. (perhaps people there are looking in on us?) So you are correct in our current understanding of the possible number of parrellel universes. However, the 8 cosmological constants would have to be near identical for there to be life. ie. Gravitational constant, weight of hydrogen. etc.

We don't know if there is a central point which defines a universe, or many central points, or a new one is created at every instant in time. We don't whether reality is just a soup of interacting quantum waves. There may be as many parrellel universes as there are people on the planet. Each person may be living in their own - essentially 7 billion and growing. If that were the case, each desicion you make you can choose between 5 different bandwidths in which you will enter next:

- One is horrendous in quality
- One is slightly below average
- One is average
- One, you are doing very well
- One is outstanding in the life you lead

Each parrellel universe is only different based on ONE desicion you make. You can continue to make the same desicions and essentially reunite with a dimension you were previously on. Or you continue to make drastically different desicions and create a life that is completely opposite from where you started.

The dimension you choose to enter next with continue to move forward in time. The four that you don't, will move backwards in time.

Since we don't even know if such a thing as a parallel universe exists, we can't answer.
