I'm surprised seems almost none of them know science. Matter is a form of energy, everything in this universe consists of the SAME thing, manifesting itself in different shapes and forms. What is your body made of? Tissues and organs. What are tissues and organs made of? Cells. What are cells made of? Molecules. What are molecules made of? Atoms. What are atoms made of? Sub- atomic particles. What are subatomic particles made of? Energy? No. They are not made of energy; they are energy. You are one big "chunk" of energy. And so is everything else in existance.
Ever heard of Einstein"s equation, E=mc2? What it means is that any piece of matter of mass m is energy that can be calculated by multiplying that mass by the speed of light squared.
So humans are materialized forms of energy capable of intelligent thinking (can you explain how we as energy can think, yet a non materialized intelligent life (spirit creatures) seems impossible to you?? I think science proves it

What is the question......Humans are materialized forms of energy capable of intelligent thinking (can you explain how we as energy can think, yet a non materialized intelligent life (spirit creatures) seems impossible to you??

Response to Drs Answer.....Everything in your room you typed your response in is made of energy. Wooden desks, windows, blinds, everything. Are their detectors that detect sub atomic particles? The only way I can think of detecting(I'm prob gonna ask a question on this), is whatever amount of subatomic particles that are floating around in the air if any, then all of a sudden parts with extremely high amounts of them for no reason would indicate a spirit creature.

I know many people who will allow the possibility of beings composed entirely of energy. I know very few who believe that they are around here.

Part of the problem is that energy is DETECTABLE. There are ways to tell that it is there. Any of it. So even beings composed entirely of energy will leave traces. They will be picked up by instruments. If one is lurking around somewhere, then it shouldn't be too hard to show that it exists.

To support the existance of a rich spirit world that is right here and full of energy beings, you need not only a life-form that is composed entirely of energy, you also need a kind of energy that is undetectable. Many will allow the first, but NOT the second.

Energy and mass are interchangeable, not identical. Consider water and ice, which would have the same chemical composition, but are not the same...

You make a leap here from saying that because humans are materialized intelligent beings that somehow there are 'non-materialized' intelligent life. For one, we have lots of scientific evidence that humans exist, whereas we have very little scientific evidence of the existence of spirits.

Assuming a spiritual presence, there would be some form of energy. And here's the problem: we can't detect it. It's not heat energy, which could be picked up by infrared detectors. It also wouldn't be microwave or other forms of energy, because we can detect those. Extremely high wavelengths of energy (x-rays, gamma rays) are detectable, too.

So if there were such spirit being of energy, we should be able to detect them. But we don't detect them. This leads to one of two conclusions.

#1. No spiritual energy beings on Earth
#2. There are spiritual beings, but they can't be detected

Possibility #2 doesn't go over well with scientists, as it is a form of 'unfalsifiable statement', a type of logical fallacy.

Of course, none of this PROVES that there aren't spiritual beings, or that humans don't have a soul, or that God does or doesn't exist. And it doesn't mean that there isn't scientific evidence for these things. But these beliefs are still largely based on faith.

Makes no sense that non-materialised forms of energy are capable of intelligent thinking, goes beyond all common sense. What kind of sub-atomic particle makes up spiritual creatures? Maybe we haven't discovered it yet, therefore it is not believable. When the spiritual creatures or forms of sub-atomic particles that make up the spirit creatures are detectable, then come back and we'll believe you.....until then its just fanciful thinking...

This is a very interesting point, but it remains an inference, rather than the kind of "proof" that materialists are looking for. Your insight seems similar to what Aquinas postulated about the so called "hierarchy" or "chain of being."

Oddly, Science owes its "progress" to the flagrant disregard of the question below.
