2.5 miles can be changed to yards.

2.5 miles * 5280 feet/mile * 1 yard/3 feet = ______ yards

b. one hour = 3600 seconds
one lap = 2.5 miles
Use a proportion.

190 miles/3600 seconds = 2.5 miles / x seconds

a) 1 yd/3 ft X 5280 ft/mi X 2.5 mi/lap = 4400 yd/lap

b) 1 hr/190 mi X 3600 sec/hr X 2.5 mi/lap = 47.37 sec/lap
