My major problem is getting in and around the gear shift, emergency brake, console and between the front seats and the console. There's everything from dried dust, diet coke to fast food crumbs! lol I've tried toothpicks, pressured air and of course vacuuming. None works. The vacuum isn't small enough to get between the seats and the console. I don't have a couple a hundred laying around to have someone to do it!

Any advice would be great!

q tips and a tooth brush, try to brush the crap out then use a damp q tip to clean it, DO NOT squirt cleanser into the gear shift housing. tedious job but eventually you'll get it clean

Q-tips and those wet-wipes. Use wet wipes with your fingers on the narrow places. On the tiny places dip q-tip in 409 or similar and start rubbing. Then wet-wipes to clean up.

Those dusting sheets (static electricity and all that) are also great if you just grab one and use them in your hand.

I agree about taking out the seats. Wish I had thought of it first. :D

look for a good vaccum machine in a gas station, first .
once You have that strong pulling machine.
buy the carpet cleaner powder and dusted the area You want to clean, let it rest and vaccum it.

final comment...... test the carpet clenear powder somewhere else before to apply it to the car.
