If part of the custody agreement states that the parents can't take the children out of the state without notifying the other parent, even for vacation.. what can be done about this?

gotta go back to Court and change the papers, do not take the children out of state even on vacation if your ex spouse is a A hole, FBI get involved in cross state line stuff involving children

If the parent try's to remove the child on vacation to another state without notifying the other parent then kidnapping charges can be laid.

Nothing. That's standard law in most states for joint custody. That's what prevents whack job parents from "kidnapping" their kids under the false pretense of a vacation or something else. :)

You need to write a letter and let him know when you will be going out of town and have him sign that he agrees to it. Just to cover your butt
