And didn't that guy in the commercial who said "Crowd's getting it's money's worth in Vegas." sound a lot like Jerry "The King" Lawler?

I'm picking De La Hoya.

I've been a boxing fan for 30 years. I can tell you that Mayweather is a little bit lucky. There's not a hell of a lot of difference between 130 and 140. It's all "Lightweight." It's like you get 3 titles from 1 weight. Joey Gamache, a very mediocre fighter, won 130, 135 & 140!

He only was thought of as possibly "great" after he looked so good beating up on a waaaay over-the-hill Arturo Gatti. The only truly great effort he's shown is the Zab Juda fight. That's it! De La Hoya is totally battle tested against the best! I can see it a mile away... De La Hoya's jab is much better. If he can find the right range, he can win handily. Mayweather is not nearly as good as Shane Mosely was in the first fight vs. De La Hoya. Mayweather's jab is short and quick, and no match for a strong long De La Hoya jab.

Unless he gets old in one fight (which is common), he wins by decision or maybe KO. He's got more tools and versatility, and just a bigger upside overall. Believe me, this is an overrated fight. De La Hoya vs. Mosely was a much better matchup!

The Golden Boy ... Oscar De La Hoya, he will take Mayweather to school. I like Mayweather as a boxer but DeLa Hoya is my equal favourite of all time (Rocky Marciano was my other favourite)

If De La Hoya was in his prime I would go with him, but Mayweather has the edge in speed and age. Its going to go 12 rounds and will be a great fight. I think the decision will go to who ever wins round 1.

I want De La Hoya to win cuz Mayweather is a punk who think he can hang with the UFC.

i imagine Mayweather receives the alternative because he will land adequate and under no circumstances get hit. Who do i opt to win? DeLaHoya. he's taking alot of punishment yet a minimum of he would not run for 12 rounds. Sportsman-gentleman- DeLaHoya
