Try to make time to do things with just your husband. If you're all living in one big house you will need space from each other. Your husband and you need time as a couple. It doesn't have to be romantic meals out at fancy places, just a quiet walk in the park will do the trick. You also need to find a way to be more independent - find some hobbies that get you out the house and away from the family politics and help to keep that distance from the bro-in-law. The less time you spend together or in the same house the less time there is for temptations or misunderstandings.
Don't try to change your personality though, if you're a lively person stay that way. Living as someone you're not only works in the short term - believe me I've tried. So alter your behaviour by doing other things.
Good luck.

Girl, you need to get your head out of your butt, and be a decent person, you should not even be THINKING about carrying on with your brother in law.

Honor the decision you made to be with your husband, and start looking at your brother-in-law as JUST THAT...a brother-in-law.
