I usually go and mingle with the other party goers, it is just boring to wait.

it depends on how many people I know at the get together. If I know most of the people I will mingle, if I only know a few I will usually just hang with the people I know and wait to be introduced to others. However if there is alcohol then I just get drunk and talk to everyone.

I would wait for about 5-10 minutes, and if not one person has approached me, I would go up to people who seems friendly and strike up a conversation. You don't want to be too hasty in mingling.

At a get-together, the other people are there for the same reason you are. There is no one that decides who gos first. You just do it. Whoever does it first does it. If you just wait around, they may never come and you will just look dumb standing there.

Depends who's party it is, if its mine or someone close to me's party then i'l probably mingle if its just someone i know i'll sit around n chat to whoever comes to me! coz chances are i dont know that amny people there!
