How should a good turtle tank look like? If you know any pics, please post them, or the website address. Thanks

It would be a BIG tank- the bigger the better, with about 10 gallons of water per inch of turtle.

It would have several basking sites, many heated to about 90F.

It would have lighting that: shows off the turtle, illuminates the tank in the day, warms the basking sites, and offers UVB rays.

It would be heated to 75-80F during the day, and the water would be filtered crystal clean with a HUGE filter.

A great tank would feature some live plants the turtle can snack on or hide in, some snails that can help with cleaning and act as snacks as well, and some armored catfish for cleaning.

The bottom would be either natural sand or pea-sized or bigger pebbles, again natural color (colored rocks look like food). Both offer pros and cons for cleaning, but sand is catching on (if you have a siphon cleaner).

Many keepers like a little duckweed- natural look, more food, etc.

The main issues, however are:
SIZE
WARMTH
LIGHT
CLEANLINESS
and DIET
