I've read that piercings that rest directly on the clitoris can cause callousing of the small organ.

Is this true? Any experience with them?

Well, that's a new one by me. I have a hood piercing and I've never had that problem. The only thing I've experienced was that right at the begining it was more sensitive, and I had to learn how to position it so that it was not in conflict with my jeans while walking or sitting.

As far as callous goes, it is my understanding that they are formed by constant rubbing between two places that are dry and rub really hard against one another. With a hood piercing, the jewelry shouldn't be rubbing against your clitoris that hard, and it should not be dry. Your natural fluids will provide enough lubrication that you shouldn't have a problem.

I hope you enjoy yourself, what ever you decide to do!
