which is the best season to go whale watcing in iceland?

Whales can be seen around Iceland all year round and there are organized whale watching trips most of the year (most companies offer them from April until the end of October), but in July very large whales, such as Blue Whale, can be seen close to Stykkishólmur in West-Iceland, so I think July is maybe the most interesting time to see whales around Iceland. Note that if you want to go whale watching in July you probably need to make a reservation in a long advance though, because it's a busy season. It's probably cheaper to go whale watching in spring or autumn than in the summer and you'll still see whales (most companies which offer whale watching trips give a refund in the unlikely case that no whale is spotted during the trip).
