See i lent my history book to a friend for 5th period, because our teacher does book checks, well i never got it back. So when I went to class, not only did I get a zero but me and this girl agreed that if I did the assignment that was due the next day, and used her book, then she could copy mine the next morning, however, im scared of being caught cheating, because she already warned us that day about it. And I cant tell her no, because i already agreed to it, What should I do, risk it and hope that we wont get caught, or leave my friend stranded with no book and no assignment

The problem in this agreement is that the risk of failure is very high. That is the problem with cheating. You have to keep doing it to cover the actions already done. Take the hard road. Try to contact the person you told could copy your work. Hopefully, there is time for that person to start on the work. Continuing to cheat will only cost you move in the future.

Tell your teacher what happened to your book and see if you can get a replacement, even if you have to pay for it. Tell your other friend you want to back out of the agreement because it's cheating and you don't want to be caught. Offer to study together for both assignments and help each other, but don't do the other girl's work for her.

I would not risk getting caught cheating after already getting a zero. Even though you agreed, you can say no, i'm sure she agreed to giving you your book back.

Well, if this happens all the time w/ ur friends, then u should stop being such a pushover, it sounds like they r using u if that happens. Just tell that one girl that u dont think that its a good idea. Or if u still wanna cheat, then have her convert it into different words, like instead of saying, " he conquered the Spice Islands" say " he took over the Spice Island"

I understand you agree with your friend.. but you are risking your grade... i think that you should get the book back... why??? teacher will know the same story and same word for word and then both of you get busted and I think that you seriously get it back and if your friend won't then go to yoru teacher and tell them Yes I agree and afte ryou warn us so i thinking about it and didn't want to do it and so i asked my friend to return and friend won't and so i came talk to you.. and teacher for sure will not be mad at you and you brave enough to go up to her and told her and smling it will be ok...

she's already gotten you into enough trouble. Get your book back and let her face the music w/the teacher. It's not worth it to get caught cheating.

Get YOUR book back, do Your assignment and turn it in on time. Friends help friends in time of need. They are not a crutch to help carry lazy irresponsible slugs through life.

For Pete's sake, dump this so-called 'friend' - she's already shown how highly she regards you (not to mention her own education - what's she gonna do when she's 30??!). It's time for her to learn some responsibility, and for you to get your priorities straight. Far better to irk the friend than the teacher.

make two different papers, and give her the one that is less likely to pass. Then that way you avoid getting caught and the girl gets a paper in exchange for the book.It may take you longer to do,but you should have never loaned your book out to anyone.
