Come on Bill, just 0.01% would make my day.

Yes I know Gates started a very charitable foundation and all, and that is a very generous and humanitarian project and mission.

Gosh, guys, don't take it personally or anything... of course I know he will never give any random people money. By the way, 0.01% of his money is a very very large amount of money. We're talking about $5,000,000 !!!! That money would run out in no time.

In case you are not aware, Bill Gates has a foundation called Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation that has given millions and millions to their causes -- health care, scholarships for poor children, etc.

Don't expect them to give to YOU just for the heck of it. They have causes to support, and not just to give 0.01% to every Joe, Dick and Harry of this world

Why? Bill Gates worked damn hard for his money... why should it just be handed to people? Same with welfare. It doesn't always go to the people who could really use it, or appreciate it.

But, in dreams, it sure as hell would be nice.

Who is "us" ANYWAY?

There are so many people in the world with less fortunate lives than the ones we have here, in the US. I think he's got the right idea in helping the less privileged.

He did set up the largest private philanthropic foundation in the world. Why don't you apply for a grant?

Nope! Not any more than you should have to share what you have. Bill is entitled to every penny he earns, and to do with it as he sees fit. We are not a communist society - YET!!!
