no... it's a chalkboard! when i went to school we had blackboards that actually were black lol...

Because the original board was black. Then they invented the green one, which insisted to be called ''blackboard'' as well to profit from the popularity of his predecessor. Then ''Blackboard'' sued for copyright infringement, but nothing could be done. Another story of injustice.
