Of course, love of one's life is about LOVE not just having sex. I would never abandon anyone like that. That is horrible!

If I were also infected, sure. Otherwise, no it's bit too risky. On the other hand if she's ok with me having a separate sex partner, then we're good.
We could certainly hang out and be friendly. But really sexuality is integral to a good relationship of that sort. Otherwise you're pretty much just really good friends, which is nothing to scoff at.

My boyfriend told me that if he ever found out he was HIV positive he would break up with me because he wouldn't want to risk giving me the disease and put me through the pain of watching him die. Plus he said it wouldn't be fair to expect me to stay when we had no future together.
If the person I was with didn't feel the way my boyfriend feels, I would probably stay because I'd feel guilty for leaving them and it would make me cry to imagine them sick and dying alone.

Are you two sexual active? If so have yourself tested as soon as possible. And if you really love each other a lot than I would never leave him and I would talk to a consular to find a solution. People with HIV live a lot longer than they use to. Good luck!

If I was negative, then i couldn't because I have three daughters and couldn't take the risk of getting it, but if I had no responsibilities like that then i would hope that that person was really someone that i could love forever. If not I'd try to be supportive, but remove myself so that they were more likely to hook up with someone who could make a lifelong committment.

If you consider the chances in having sex with him I would say yes, leave.
Always be gentle to his ego. This is a time to be a friend taking action to support him.
However, don't stay around if you think you may have sex. Don't put yourself in that dangerous situation.
Love him and Good Luck

Yes if they were the love of my life. Because of that love and compassion. They would not need any guilt at that point and it would become a matter between God and myself.
