How long is it before putting my college degree or work experience on my resume is no longer considered relevent.

Your college degrees are always relevant.

As for your work experience, it depends. Yes, many companies are concerned with what you did for the last 5, 10, 20 years -- those kind of things are what goes on the job application. If you look a job applications for certain federal government jobs, they want to know every job a person has had since birth. Resumes do not need to be that detailed.

The degree will always be relevAnt. Work experience can be relevant if it relates to the new job for which you are now applying. Keep a master copy of all degrees, schooling, classes, work experience, volunteering, and employment. You never know when the work experience from 15-20 years ago will relate to the new position you are applying for.

It's always relevent. It shows determination to finish what you start and that higher education is always important to you. You're never too old to put it on your resume.
