If you mean to maintain the functionality of the components of the blood (RBC's, WBC's, platelets, etc), then the best way to do this is the flash freeze it in liquid nitrogen and then store it in a freezer of ~-80C. Flash freezing will not shock any of the components into destruction, but that doesn't mean you can careless with it. It's advised to handle it with care - so don't drop it or do anything that could cause a glass cup to shatter!

Blood really isn't even alive inside the body. It has some living components - the cells - but it's just one part of a whole living thing.

finaly a question worth looking at
i hear some bodybuilders freeze their blood and before competition they thaw it out and inject it to make them look more cut or something lol.
