Boot into safe mode (restart your computer and tap F8 alot, then select safe mode)

When you're in safe mode, select administrator from the user list and it'll log you in as admin (as long as that hasn't got a password either). From there, you can remove the password.

You may need to get a Linux disk to boot into that OS and use a program to read the Windows passwords.

You could also move the hard drive to another windows machine. Get the program to read passwords then WRITE IT DOWN somewhere. I have a notebook that I put all my CD KEYS and passwords in. It is not kept by the computer.

Many of my friends have sticky notes all over their monitors with passwords on them but that does defeat the purpose of even having a password.

With windows there is different levels of users you can log into you are probably on an administrator account so type in under user name power user then then find password settings and change it or you will have to clean install windows.

You will need to go to your system administrator and ask them to reset your password.
