As far as back acne there is a body wash that proactive makes. The active ingredient is salicylic acid which is basicly asprin. It does something like clean out the hair follicles or somethng. I looked it up once but I don't remember exactly. I think it works ok, I used it for a while. It's not a wonder paste though. I actually just ordered some black soap from a company that has what they advertise as the "real stuff' http://www.Nasabb.Com/ I will get it soon hopefully. It is supposed to work wonderfully. I'll let you know how it works for me. It cost me friggin 8 for a 5oz ball of soap and a sample kit because of shipping. The actual soap only cost me 4.50 or something like that which is still fairly pricey but if it works, I can order a pack of 6 and save on shipping next time.

Everyone has made some excellent suggestions, but if you would like to try a less expensive method, often used by models...try this.

1. Make sure your hair conditioner is not the culprit, wash your neck and back after you rinse out your hair conditioner.
2. Try Dawn dish-washing liquid on the effected area. (Consider rinsing with cool water to close pores.)
3. Make sure your towel is free of moisturizers and use a gentle glide deodorant on the breakout area.

Very often hair conditioner or dampness on the back and neck are the cause of back, neck and shoulder acne. Be very careful about opening these breakouts, the skin is much thicker and scars easier.

Neutrogena Acne Body Wash

Ok, I have no idea if you are male or female, but, if female, try to wear your hair in a ponytail for while so the oil doesn't keep hitting your neck. Go to CVS/ Walgreens/ Eckard & get some of the Neutrogena acne clearing body scrub. Also, after you use this stuff in the shower, swipe your neck with one of those pre-moistened acne pads too.

Its not anything rare. Everyone gets it but wont admit. You can try using the mask called " Nuetragina Clear Pore Cleaner/Mask" for a less extreme approach. If you find that hasn't helped after a week, get Proactive. And if that isn't enough to handle the issue, take it to a dermatologist.

i really love the murad acne body wash. when I was working out at the gym a lot, I used to get back acne. this stuff worked like a charm. Another brand to try is DDF. both can be purchased at places like Pure Beauty.

Use body wash by Neutrogena and scrub your back with a hand held scrubber. Neutrogena is recommended by my dermatologist.

I would say its from your hair resting on your neck. You can wear your hair up for a wile until it clears, or make sure you clean your neck very well. use Pro Active on your neck...it really works.
