Taco bell is cheap and they can afford to skimp a little on the product. they have millions of customers!! But little mom and pop restaurants are dependent on putting out a good product so that they can have repeat business. So they have to really make their product likable to the consumer.

Because the Taco Bell ones cost what, a buck?
Mom & Pop restaurants are ALWAYS superior to fast food. I'll always eat at a local place over a chain, the food is nearly always better and you're supporting local people instead of some corporate fat cats.

Taco Bell has downsized it's meals just like McDonalds everything was so much bigger and cheaper in the 70's and 80's Nachos used to be $1.29 back in the day. They're just trying to rip us off.
