Ian Rush - 346 goals for ONE club. There aren't many World clubs who had a goalscorer that scored that many for their club.

Pele is probably the best in terms of winning 3 world cups and sparking the biggest improvement to the sport in the USA. A living legend even though he said Nicky Butt was the new Pele' after 2002 World Cup. Think his brain has jogged off.

i would have to say (yuk) MARADONA he was easily the best. better than pele. pele played in a world class TEAM where Maradona made the team and won games on his own.
if it was not for the handball against us he probably would not have scored the greatest individual goal in a w/c ever.
