...got her purse, turned out the lights and she pretended to leave right behind me. Well, guess what? I drove by 15 minutes later, then an hour ago---she is still open for business. I knew she was having trouble paying me and finding work for me to do, but pretends everything is okay, and it's not. She refuses to admit this.

I'm pretty upset that she lied to me about this-- I feel betrayed. What would you do if your employer did this to you? Just curious.

I won't walk in and confront her today because 1) clients are there, and 2)she has serious anger management issues.

I went directly to the Employment Security Commission, and already have an interview set up for tomorrow---the company called me today!

Well I would use the afternoon off to look for a job where they can afford to pay me.

Maybe this just isn't something that shouldn't concern you.
If you feel betrayed or uncomfortable there, time to brush up your resume and move on.
To suggest she is not telling the truth is a good way to get fired.

Why don't you just walk in there and confront her? If it's open and she said it would be closed, you've kind of got her.
