It depends on you. Every woman's hair grows at different rates. These can vary depending on the season and hormonal changes (like pregnancy). Women with coarse, dark hair may want/ need to shave more often than one with thin, fair hair.
You should feel comfortable, that's the bottom line. If you don't mind a bit of stubble, you can go longer. If you do a good job of shaving (sharp, clean razor, lots of water and some sort of lubricant gel or foam) then it should last a little longer than a quick dry razor job. Ouch.
I shave every other day during the summer. During the winter
I shave my armpits every other day and my legs about once a week. When I was pregnant, hair grew really slowly. I only had to shave my legs twice a month.

I personally shave my underarms every other day.
I shave my legs every other day in the Summer and every three or four days in the Winter.

I shave my underarms every day b/c it grows quickly and is dark.

But my leg hair is blonde - you can barely see it - so I shave every couple of days and it works out fine. In the winter, once a week.
