I could ask the same question and vent the same frustration. I thought about making some smart *** comment about like, "The truth hurts sometimes," but I decided a legitimate answer would be better. I think there are basic differences between people that are conservative and people that are liberal, and not just drr drr "common sense" drr drr. There are reasons why we feel the way that we do and no matter how much you talk to us, we will always have those same basic differences that keep us from agreeing. Next time you feel like arguing with one of us, stop and think why it would matter. No matter how much we ***** to each other, nothing changes in the end. No minds change, we just get frustrated. Just remember, **** it's only politics ;)

I'm conservative.... and I read your question thoroughly so I'm a bit confused about how conservatives don't listen to you!
It also bothers me that you've made a stereotypical statement generalizing all conservatives as those who "need to shut up" which means you obviously don't want to hear THEIR side and want them to listen to YOUR rhetoric.
Then you make comment that conservatives "have no common sense or heart." As a conservative I've spent the last 30 plus years of my life providing service to others through public service. In doing so, I've incurred a substantial amount of knowledge coupled with a vast amount of common sense. The main thing I've learned is that we don't communicate with each other....we try to outshout our opposing views.
I've learned that if you truely want people to listen to you....consider using a bit of intelligence in your thoughts and comments before labling others. You may be surprised how much more attention you get when you speak with knowledge!
There's an old saying..."Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool...than speak and remove all doubt!"

I think that most political activists (conservatives and liberals) are frustrating because of their unwillingness to rise above the typical partisanship of politics to really work on the root problems that plague an entire society, instead of just their own voting group.

Laughing my *** off!
Yeah like conservatives are the only ones who dont want to listen, get real. Any reasonable person would admit that on both sides exist extreme elements that have no capacity to negotiate or try to find common ground with their political opponents. Dont be ignorant!

Where there is wrong there is right, where there is darkness there is light, where there are Liberals there are us Conservatives. We will listen to your point of view, before we crush your ideas. Libs. believe in only their way of thinking, it's sad actually!

I do believe it is mostly Liberals that sit and complain that the U.S is a evil empire, and try and make America look like crap.
There are two kind of liberals.
Hippies (Born to be hated.)
and the good kind,
old time liberals, like JFK, FDR, and a liberal i know that owns a gun club.

How funny how you claim they never listen to points of view and you want them to shut up.
i think there are idiots and close-minded people on both sides of the spectrum.

i agree with you partially...however not every conservative is frustrating or close minded...I've had some pretty good discussions on here with a couple conservative republicans (I'm a liberal democrat) and they were very respectful of my views even though they disagreed.

I don't let those poor foolish souls bother me at all. They are really quite pathetic. They don't see the truth and blindly follow their fearless leader like mindless lemmings. I often chuckle to myself when I read their rants. Most are unsubstantiated and few have any unbiased links or other sources one can go to for information or more detail regarding what they are ranting about. Ancient history is brought up with their Clinton this and Clinton that or even worse Ted Kennedy and driving.
Many of them are jingoists. Althogether they make the Conservative wing of the Republican Party and the party in general, for that matter, look very bad.
I haven't seen too much lately because they are obvious and called on it but they repeat the spewings of the hate mongers on conservative hate radio. You know, Coulter, Limbaugh, and Hannity? I guess they really have no leg to stand on so they must use such crutches to make their feeble little points.
Don't let them bother you. Do as I do and brush them off like a fly that lands on a cow pie.
