If a drunk friend told you they thought you should be best friends, would you think they really wanted to be better friends, or that they were just being drunk and silly?

Drunk yes, but also uninhibited?
I have found that people's personalities don't change when they are drunk. They may tend to exaggerate, but they are usually more truthful because that part of their brain that normally censors things is not working so well.
If you think it is something that you agree with, talk to them when they are sober. If it doesn't matter to you, let it go.
