For example if a man says to his girl, "Hey sweetie, why don't you be a good girl and fix me something to eat?" or "Sweetie, I'm the one who wears the pants in this family and you need to be a good girl and do what I tell you to do." I have to say, sometimes I have to applaud those parts because there aren't many movies today with any redeeming value whatsover. I find it refreshing when they have something good in them like that. I wish more people in the theater would so we could send a message to hollywood that they need more movies with men like that.

Back when I was 16 my friend and I tried to sneak in to an R rated movie .. which was usually pretty easy to do but it just so happened to be a crowded day at the theatre (which means extra security). Got kicked out of the movie theatre for the day!

I don't believe the examples you gave are chauvinistic. I do understand what you are saying, and agree with you, but I'm not the type of woman to clap in a movie theater.

As long as the man's a good guy I have to restrain myself not to clap. Some feminists are so violent... Instead, I just sit there with a big smile on my face and clap on the inside... I love old movies with this kind of values!

this is a "get a life" moment if there ever was one , do you think the people that wrote, edited, produced, and, directed the movie are in theater with you and if they are not in the theater what good does your little protest do.

Nope, cant say that I ever have. However, I have clapped several times when a man says something chauvanistic to a woman and then he gets slapped, now THAT deserves a loud standing round of applause.

Yes honey. That just proves that women are meant to be submissive and obedient. People copy so many other things from music and movies why don't they use that?
If you'd help me, I'd write a letter to them.

No, I usually applaud later on in the movie when those men are beaten down by the women they are talking down to.
