Order your favorite *cheeseburger* one time
without the cheese. Then decide on how
good the burger is.
I did this test at a popular established fast-food
restaurant. I've never eaten a hamburger there
since. But since maybe 85% of people, or
more than that many, always get the cheeseburger,
they cannot really tell how good the meat is.

I have not tried all my favorites without cheese, but have done that on a couple. The Whopper I took without cheese and found it good but would prefer the cheese. (However I did think they are a little heavy on the onion and mayo, and I always get extra pickles). Also The Big Extra from McDonalds is a really good burger if the cheese is not added. Again Extra pickles....but better without the cheese.
A&W burgers are always good as well with no cheese.
Fuddruckers burgers are great without cheese, (but to be honest, that cheese sauce is just too tempting). Tony Roma's 'Roma Burger' is fine alone,(no cheese that is, but mushrooms and bacon) however I always have to tell them, med well at best, no good dry. I had a good burger at Carls jr. too with no cheese (xtra pickles). It was a great burger, however I could not compare to what it would be like for a burger there 'with' cheese, because I have only had Carls Jr. once in my life. I did not like the look of the cheese once either at Jack in a box, it did not look good on my friends burger, so I had it without cheese, it was a good fast food burger...again the only time I ate there...
One of the reasons I love traveling into the United States from Canada, is for burgers. In the U.S. the burger is truly the lord at the top of the food chain. Americans enjoy them, but most importantly Americans are the only people in the world that truly know how to make them....

Hot dogs are gross because they are an amalgam of ground up animal parts, many of which you wouldn't even consider to be meat. Kosher dogs and all-beef franks, however, are made only from whole meat and are perfectly fine to eat. I swore off hotdogs for 2 years before I learned the difference between koshers, all-beefs, and the disgusting traditional kind. Hamburger isn't nearly as bad as hotdogs. Since most hamburger is made with only pure beef from recognizable parts of the cow, there isn't anything more gross about it than, say, a steak. The quality is a bit variable, though--watch out for fat content, and avoid fast food burgers, many of which add things that are not as appetizing as you would hope.

Both hamburgers and cheeseburgers are wonderful! And so are the fries. Add a chocolate shake, and I'd think I died and went to heaven!

I don't enjoy cheese on my hamburger because it has more calories. The freshness is the way to enjoy the taste
