Why oh why has no-one invented a water bottle that doesn't start leaking after a few weeks. If they have please let me know!

I'd like to know the answer to this question too! I've got about 4 different bottles for my mice - I have to keep alternating when one spontaneously starts leaking! I've NEVER had this problem until this year, I was starting to think someone had placed a curse on my water bottles.

Anyway, ones that don't leak DO exist I swear! If you read the instructions on most of them, it says they do leak when you first put the lid on, until a vacuum is created. You have to screw the lid on firmly and all that, and it helps to fill the bottle up as much as possible. Ruddy things. I've got a shallow bowl in my mouse cage that they drink from happily, so I don't know why I'm bothering with the darn bottles anymore actually. Perhaps you could try a bowl in your rabbit's cage, but you'll have to change it everyday coz they'll poo in it and kick straw in it.

I sympathise!

not sure, why don't you use a small ceramic bowl works just as well, the rabbit will soon learn to drink outta that if you take the bottle away as it will need to get a drink. (jus like weaning a baby off the bottle *lol* :))

a company called super-pet makes one called flat-bac water bottle and that don't leak.

You can get it from most pet shops out there as 90% of pet shops in the country use the main pet accessories supplier so ask them to search the Batleys catalogue for the item above.

If you can't be assed then check ebay they should have it on there

I use Oasis for my hammie, Apple. So far it only leaks when you have just filled it up and turned it over but it stops in a matter of seconds.

I never found one and switched to a heavy ceramic crock. the bunnies seem to drink more this way and it's more natural. Just make sure it's heavy so they don't tip it over.

Are you sure you're closing it tight? What brand is it? I use oasis for my guinea pigs...Sometimes they just drip for a bit then stop.
