You will be forgiven when you REPENT. And what repentence means is yes, feeling guilty and sorry for what you've done, but also it includes the act of turning from your sin. Saying and meaning, "that was not right, and I will never do it again, and I am so sorry for it." That is the true act of repentence.
To be blameless before God, you need to believe in Jesus Christ and believe that you are pure before God because Jesus took the blame for your sins when He died, so you could be reconciled to God.

i think the 2 above answered it really well, but to say it again once you have done something wrong and you pray for forgiveness you are Expected to change your ways and do nothing of that sort ever again, people will make mistakes though, but know that if you pray to Jesus and its "real" he will always forgive you because his love is like NO Other

If you pray truthfully, honestly and from your heart and ask forgiveness, you will be forgiven. It doesn't mean you can keep doing those things over and over and keep asking forgiveness. When you ask to be forgiven, you should stop those bad things and start over. Yes, everyone can be forgiven if they are sincere in their asking.

it's not just saying "o sorry" and that's it. You have to truly feel really bad for what you have done, and not do it again and then you will be forgiven.. you can't just go do something bad and be like o sorry, and do it again, that makes no sense!
