Its harder b/c professors compress more things into that small amount of time.-More homework and less time for them to explain things.

It actually depends which classes. Some faculty try to compress everything which happens during a normal semester into summer, making it harder. Some, recognizing that it is impossible to absorb too much information in too short a time and retain it, actually cut back on what they cover, so some people find summer classes easier. My advice would be that summer school is usually good for classes which won't be incredibly difficult for you but which you don't much expect to enjoy, because they go by more quickly. Don't use summer school to take classes you expect to love, because you won't have time to really enjoy them, and don't use it to take things which really scare you with their degree of difficulty, because you have less time in which to study (while the hours the classes meet may be the same, the study time in between is less).

YES YES YES they are tremendously harder because of the month long session they are going extremely FAST... i had an exam EVERY week.... so when you might have had one exam a month during regular semesters, you have all that material crammed into a week with a test... it just is hard to pace yourself and study and keep up i would only take 1 class so you can devote the time to study properly

It doesn't have to be hard if you do the work and don't fall behind. It won't be so bad. Sort of chillin' cause its much shorter. I've taken some summer classes and I had only one bad experience with the worst chemistry professor. Why did I take a science in the summer? So you'll probably have better luck than I did.

Summer classes are the pitts. They summer term is really short and the professors try to cram 3 months of work into 6 weeks. The summer classes are harder - trust me!!!!!!!!!

Yes they are. The math and sciences tend to be the most difficult because you have so little time and too much information (formulas) to remember.
When I taught my summer classes, my students had to write a 5 to 10 page paper. This can be stressful. However, it had to be done.
Communication skills are a must - oral and written.

I have found that they are at a much quicker pace then the fall and spring semesters. Just be prepared to study hard and cram like crazy for tests.
