Should there be an investigation to determine if the USA was purposely manipulated into invading Iraq? There are so many accusations that the country was misled and that misinformation was purposely presented.
Shouldn't this matter be investigated?

If there is a legislation to impeach Cheney, I think he would do everyone (including himself) a big favor by attending such investigation since he is being accused in such horrible horrible manipulation. You know, to sorta clear his name, if he cares about it of course.

And yes, congressional investigation should be conducted. For once and for all to determine if country was manipulated into invading Iraq. Because we are entitled to know the truth, not because some politicians are speculating and trying to get point for their run for the presidency.

It is funny that everyone is flip flopping right now on war subject. Majority voted for war. Now everyone stopped being blind and accusing the office in all sins? We should be careful in what we do. Because as much as I dislike current resident of the White House, I am giving him a credit for sticking to his guns on this issue.

the commercial Revolution of the early 1900's. This brought about the great-scale use of machineries to run industries. It additionally brought about the rustic's dependence on oil to run those machineries. The Iraq conflict is a ploy via Bush to benefit administration of that united states of america's oil. Iraq had not something to do with the 9/11 assaults. The terrorists have been all Saudi nationals. not a single considered one of them got here from Iraq. The WMD's have been a lie. Bush and the CIA falsified the intelligence information to make it seem that Iraq had WMD's. The falsified intelligence suggestions grew to grow to be the inspiration for justififying the subsequent invasion of that united states of america. The invasion of Iraq had not something to do with the point to end Saddam's dictatorship. there are distinctive far worse dictators than Saddam, and yet those dictators nonetheless proceed to be in skill as much as this present day (Cuba, Egypt, Pakistan, Zimbabwe, Burma, China are in simple terms few examples of those brutal dictatorships). in spite of the properly widely used fact that Saddam grew to become right into a brutal dictator, the U. S. nonetheless supported him and offered him with weapons in the process the Iran-Iraq conflict of the eighty's. for this reason, bringing freedom and democracy to Iraq had never been the U. S.'s objective in any respect.

The matter that should be investigated is how Harry Reid became the majority leader and who is to blame for that. Conditions in Iraq are obviously improving and terrorists are on the run. The weak are being protected and the world is safer. Harry Reid has teamed up with Al Queda to say that war is lost and he should resign or be dismissed. That is the item worth of congressional attention.

yup.

this above all else should be investigated.

we need to find out why our high priced intelligence agencies got it so completely wrong.

has it ever happened that professional intelligence agencies ever got it 100% wrong in our past - i don't think so.

if we don't investigate this, we will only continue to get lousy intelligence, which is simply not an option.

no matter how this is spun, even if lunatic cons start calling bush a modern lincoln, it won't change the fact that he has simply presided over getting it 100% completely wrong...

Why not? Even if there was no intentional manipulation of intelligence, it would be nice to know why our intelligence was so bad and how we can correct the problems with the system to ensure that future mistakes don't occur. An independent investigation would be great.

the only way people would trust the results is if it were a neutral 3rd party that did the investigation.. people will think the dems are on a witch hunt or that the repubs are just covering their tracks.

What, again?

9/11 didn't happen.
Congress and Senate didn't vote for the war.
UN didn't back us.

Should we really walk in denial then all of a sudden act like we had a brain-fart and got tricked and that would explain it all.
