My daughter snored and tried a lot of different remedies. The only thing that works for her is Fluticasone nasal spray.

there are a couple things, first of all, if he sleeps on his back then have him put a belt around his waist with a tennis ball attached to it (believe me this works) put the belt near his stomach with the tennis ball in his lower back so when he decides to roll on his back he'll be uncomfortable and roll back onto his stomach,(eventually he'll get used to sleeping that way and you wont need the belt anymore...

Otherwise there are also shock collars believe it or not...lol if it's that bad (or if you can get him to wear it)...

If that isn't the best for you to try, get something called simply saline, it's an arisol can with saline that you pretty much snort to empty your sinuses, that would help clear it up, but it doesn't work for everyone. You should be able to find it at a walmart in the decongestion medication isle

People have a tendency to snore more often and more intensely after drinking. One of us sleeps on the couch sometime when it gets loud =(
