i have 2 platy boys(young) and 1 adult female platy there both different kinds of platies but the boys arent stabbing her(my male guppy and female guppy they mate non stop)

no platys are not picky. Give them time and they will be harassing her non-stop. I would suggest getting a few more females to out number the males so they aren going to get harassed all the time. I had a couple of platys and I had to get a second tank for all the babies, now I have two ten gallon tanks will pretty much all platys.

They normally aren't really picky. Probably your males are a bit young yet. They are also not quite as prolific as guppies and don't mate on a daily basis like guppies seem to do.

They normally are not picky. The males maybe to young to mate at this time. If the male are ready to mate. It may simply be happening so quickly that your just not see it. Young male can be very quick.
