Here are the facts. Andrea Bottcelli was suppose to practice with Celine Dion the day before the Oscars and he couldn't make it to the practice. So David Foster (a well known music producer) had Josh Groban come and practice with Celine. There were many celebrities there and they gave Celine and him a huge applause. This was featured on Entertainment Tonight and I believe this was the first time anyone saw Josh on TV. But he had been working with David Foster for awhile. Also this was several years ago.

From what I remember from an Oprah show that he was on, he said that he was at school and practicing a piece for a recital or something. Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli were supposed to sing the Prayer song somewhere close to his school and Andrea couldn't make it for some reason. The school that Josh was attending is a pretty prestigious one for the performing arts and since they were close, some of Celine's people "scouted" him after they heard him rehearsing from a hallway.
That's what I think I heard, anyhow.

This is not related to the classical music category , I think you'd rather post your question in the Rock & Pop for obtaining more results. However , I can give the artists names Barry Manilow , Lara Fabian & Celine Dion , who I love some of their romantic songs.
