What happens if you start your first EVER birth control before you get your period because it is late or missed (possibly pregnant)?

One wonders how you got birth control without seeing a doctor. If you think there's any possibility of being pregnant, get checked and don't take anything potentially dangerous until you know.

you don't start until you are certain you are NOT pregnant
