Why this obessession with Earth exploding. It is bizarre.
Many questions on this site are unnecessary if the person asking just stopped to think about things. The Earth has not exploded for 4.5 billion years, so why now?
A fact you may not know is that in its early history, the Solar System was full of dangerously moving asteroids, comets and proto-planets. Those made most of the thousands of craters on the Moon. The Earth suffered the bombardment at the same time (how could it have not), but the craters have been buried and worn away by Earth's Tectonic and erosional processes.
The point is, if the Earth got through that period, which lasted millions of years, it certainly is not in any danger now?
Note that the relatively few and tiny asteroids that may present a danger some time in the future, are a threat only because they can cause damage globally on a surface level.
People tend to not realise we live in a tiny, thin gaseous envelope - the atmosphere, relatively thinner than the skin of an apple to the apple. That is was is threatened. The Earth itself will not suffer one iota.
It's weird. People have no sense of scale. We don't live IN the Earth, we just scurry around on its surface like germs on an apple.

The Earth is not expected to ever explode. But it may be incinerated and vaporized by the Sun in about 4 or 5 billion years when the star enters its red giant phase. It's possible, though, that the Sun's loss of mass prior to that will enable the Earth to escape to a slightly wider orbit by that time, allowing it to avoid actually being swallowed by the swollen Sun. However, the nearness of the Sun's surface would still blast away the atmosphere and boil the oceans.

Even if a nuclear bomb were to explode, the earth would not explode, but if our sun follows the death throes of every other star, some day the SUN will explode - it will expand past earth's orbit thereby incinerating the earth. It will not happen in our lifetime however.

It won't. You need something 20 times larger than the Sun before it explodes, and the Earth isn't anywhere near the size of the Sun.

It won't. In about 45-55 billion years, the sun will expand, and envelope the Earth; the friction between the Earth & the solar mass will cause it to fall out of it's orbit, and it will be consumed by the sun.
I think it's scheduled for a Tuesday.

It already did 5 million years ago, we are experiencing life as a conscious projection of what was. Facilitated by the quantum field potential of the observer. Kinda like the Movie the Matrix!
