No, Darlin'. Imus has been talking like that for 30 years, it was just a matter of time before it caught up with him. Believe it or not, he meant no harm, and he did apologize. He has been fired, and it's over now. I am not a fan of his and I can't say I've really listened to him, I caught a few minutes here and there, but it wasn't that interesting to me. I hope this helps.

Imus is his own monster. The things he said were inappropriate, but I do not blame anyone but him for that. Now I do think it's a bit silly that hip-hop artists can talk and act the way they want about anything, but if, say, a white person where to do it- that's just disrespectful and racist. There are double standards with everything. Imus and the hip-hop industry are both to blame for this disrespect we saw- but at the same time- you as an individual make your own choices and that's no ones' fault but your own.

We should blame the hip-hop industry for negatively influencing kids today. It isn't just a "black thing" like most people say, it's really affecting the hispanic culture and demoralizing a lot of them, and even the suburban white kids are forming gangs and getting into it.
Who cares about Imus? He's just talk? We need to worry more about our society as a whole than we do on what one man said.

No we shouldnt blame hip hop for his racist remarks. Why would black people talk about there own women? there own race? the same color that gave birth to them? Its not hip hops fault and they needs to stop blaming it. The should aslo talk about t.v. shows and movies that also use this language, and sometimes ever 2 minutes in movies. Don imus should think before he spoke, which I believe he did. He wanted to be racist in my oppinon, black people are the only race to call him out, even thou he say rude things about jews and hispanics before all this happend. So no, we shouldnt black the hip hop industry, I believe its the white kids that listen to hip hop parents that dont like the fact that there kids listen to hip hop and is trying to destroy it. and I dought Don imus listens to hip hop.

It seems like the black people were the first to call their ladies "ho's"; and in their music they degrade black women in the lyrics of their songs. These ladies need to be shown some respect.
This does not excuse Imus for what he said. A lot of people need to "clean up their act".

Both, essentially, are non entities. Giving them any importance isn't too smart.
