I Neeed Ideas please...?

Question

i have a project and i have to make a musical instrument that will actually work. I have to use materials i can find at a store or even at home. i need something easy to make. if u can give me any ideas, it will be really really appreciated

If you have library near you, I suggest you go there and ask the librarians to help you find books on this subject.

Here is a neat book on the subject:

"Cool Cardboard Instruments to Make and Play" it's by
Dennis Waring.

The instruments range from simple to complicated. You may want to do variations on the examples in the book. The author gives great photos and step-by-step instructions on how to do it.

I know you can make some of those maracas they use in south america i remember making one of them in grade school. all you need is a quaker oats container, scotch tape, and raw beans and a donut. first you empty out the quaker oats container, wash it if preffered, put the beans inside empty container, but lid back on container tape it up with the scotch tape and relax and enjoy your donut because you just got away with an easy project.

a guitar what you need is
a empty kleenex box some rubber bands and a empty paper towel roll put a hoole in the kleenex box so the tube can fit then put the rubber bands around the kleenex box and you got a guitar

u could make a guitar out of a tissue box, rubber bands, and a paper towel rolls...just cut a whole in the end of the box insert the paper towel roll and then stretch the rubber bands around the tissue box

you can make a drum out of a pringles can, or any can like that with a plastic lid, each different size can will make a different tone. you can use any sort of ring about 6 inches in diam. and put bottle caps on it, pound a nail through the middle and then string them on, to make a kind of tambourine, you can blow across the top of any kind of bottle to make noise, you can bang on any pot lids for cymbals, you can put macaroni in a plastic bottle and shake for noise.

a toilet paper roll. put some cellofane over the end with a rubber band. take a pencil and punch a hole in the side of the tube........instant kazoo!
