befor a few days i bought a new LG DVD, i installed both the s/ware & H/ware. now when i try to watch film in it (both cd,dvd) i here the sound only. on the screen i can see the Visualization graphics( random) only. your help would be greatful to me

but i'll state it again, you need codec.. use VLC media player coz it has wide range of codec.

The DVD codecs (software standard) are probably having problems being shown by your video card. Try launching Windows Player 1st and then playing the DVD from there. If it plays ok, the new software (software to view DVD) is the problem, if you have the same problem, make sure you upgrade the software for your video card, as well make sure DirectX (from microsoft) is up to date.

Not sure how old PC is, but if it is very old 6-7 years, the processor might not work well with DVD's

Try the dvd or cd to another player if it really works. If the cd/dvd works, check your dvd player if you really plug everything properly. If this still doesn't solve your problem, ask help from where you bought the dvd player.

You need to obtain the correct codecs to watch videos. Try ACE Mega Codecs Pack. It's free.

Usually you have to put it on a certain channel 3 or 4. I would suggest look in your book the instructions should give you a phone number to the manufacturer call them tell them it sounds very simple to fix. good luck

DVD has nothing to do with this, you are using media player, try to run it with Real Player.
