I'd go with 500W, especially if you've got dual DVD/CD drives or two hard disks, in addition to multiple USB devices pulling power...
If you've only got one optical drive, one HD, and no more than one USB device, then 400W is probably fine.

The eVGA, XFX, OCZ, and Leadtek nVidia 8800 GTX 's require a minimum 450 watt.

I would say buy as big a Power Supply as you can afford you may want to add a card for SLI. You might also want to consider a dedicated graphic card power supply like this one:

It is cheap, provides up to 300W dedicated to the graphic cards, and easily installs into a 5.25 inch drive bay.

i reccomend 500 watts minimum...i am sure it will run with 450 or maybe even 400, but 500 will give it a balanced out not to crappy performance

500 watt, it also depends on what else you have running on your system, use an average of 50 watts per piece of hardware.
