From the time it gets pregnant it's usually about 28 days, but that can easily be off by a week and still be considered normal.

I will be keeping my eye on this subject. My blue platy is also pregnant. Was also wondering if you can tell when they get ready to have the fry? I need to put her in a net breeder but don't want to separate her from the other fish until I have to. She is in a community tank.

Its approximately 3 weeks to a month from conceiving to giving delivery if your tank is heavily planted the prospect is a few fry would nevertheless be alive by way of fact they don't basically provide delivery to a minimum of one fish

Like all live bearers, it's 28 days after being impregnated.

Give or take a few days.
