If it is on something like a floor.... place a brown paper bag (like grocery sack) over the wax and them use a hot iron (no steam) on the bag. The iron will melt the wax and the paper will absorb it so it doesn't stick to the floor anymore. I think this works on tile, linoleum, as well as carpet. I don't know if it will work on other items because I have only tried it on floors.

It depends upon what the candle wax spilled on. Generally, a dry iron on low and placing paper towels on the area will soak up the wax. This takes a few applications. If on wood, after the wax is removed, use furniture polish, if on glass use 1:4 ratio of vinegar and hot water to clean up after removal. If on fabric, gently scrape the wax off with a butter knife and place a paper towel and then the hot iron to soak up the rest. Repeat with clean paper towels as needed. Later, prevention is best. Have a nice week.

Depends on what the wax is on. If on a table-top, put down paper towels or a brown paper bag first then set a warm iron on top. The iron melts the wax which is absorbed by the paper. If the wax is on fabric try using ice to harden it then scrape it with a knife.

From fabric? Scrape off what you can then place a piece of kitchen paper over the top of the rest and press with a warm iron until the paper absorbs the softened wax. Dab any colour residue with methylated spirit before washing.

It depends on what you are removing it from. Tips for removal from some types of surfaces could be damaging to others.
