Yes, I hated going to work everyday and everyone at this job was miserable....very depressing. One day I quit, and didn't give a notice or anything. That forced me to do something else, so now I own my own business and I'm making just as much or more than I was before and it's only been a year and a half. Must happier!

Yup. I worked in media and I saw some really sh*tty sides of humanity.

An old man that I had to interview for an article turned out to be really dirty. He took the metro to my office and when I interviewed him there, everything was cool. Then he asked for a ride to the metro. I gave him one and he got VILE with me.

He wanted to know if I came when me and my boyfriend had sex, how big bf's penis is, does bf eat me out, etc. He told me that I needed to dump my boyfriend and get with a married man. That way I would have someone to f*ck me real good but I wouldn't have to deal with the stress of a relationship. He said I had a beautiful body that needed to be touched just right to make me scream and curl my toes. And that was the clean stuff.

I felt so violated and other experiences like that working in the media have jaded me and I don't trust people anymore.

Yes, my last job was doing so, but 9 weeks into it I walked out. I was not given a contract, was not paid on time and incrued bank charges and the company refused to pay and the manager thought she could control what I ate, when I socialised. Now I work in the NHS, am very happy and have joined a union!

Yes, it happened to both my wife and I. She got burned out working 70 plus hours a week and flying all over the country. It did make her sick. She has fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome and she also wrecked her back doing her job. My job was killing me so I recently went on long term disability. My advise is to not ever forget what's really important in life and slow down enough to enjoy yourself and your family sometimes or it's just not worth it.
