I can't believe Tony Blair actually said that he would be delighted, If one off his son's was sent to Iraq.
He must be the only parent in britain who thinks so, or is he still trying to to convince us that it was the right to go to war.

This whole war fiasco reminds me of the fairy tale The Emperors New Clothes. I find it even more incredulous that we as people are allowing ourselves to be "convinced" by not calling Mr. Bush and Mr. Blair out on the B.S. that they are feeding us about this war. The emperor is not dressed, he is butt naked and he has a big pimple on his *ss and people keep saying "nice suit". Mr. Blair should just go and fight himself as I wish Mr. Bush would. No one is dismissing or minimizing the bravery and commitment of the soldiers, but that does not make this right and it does not make the lies true.

At least Mr. Blair has sons...I've always wondered if Bush would have made the decisions he has, if he had sons! He can't begin to understand what it's like, for parents to watch their 19 year olds go off to war.... knowing they might not return home alive.

Tony Blair is right in feeling like this! To go to war and fight and die for stability and human rights in the world is a very honorable thing. These young soldiers give their lives so the rest of use can live in peace. War is a dirty business, thank god we have people willing to take on this challenge for us!

Regardless of how people feel about the war Tony Blair made that statement as a way of saying he would be PROUD if his son had to be called up as it's only natural.
Not all people think this war is a bloodbath, there are still some of us that see the good in it, despite the careless reporting most see.

SUPPORT THE TROOPS -- FORGET THE REST!

Tony Blair hates this country and the last thing he would want is for his sons to fight for it. As usual, it's a soundbite and a lie.

I'm a military child. I'm a military wife. I'm a military parent. I'm so very proud of my Father, my Husband and 3 of my Sons. They have all CHOSEN to serve their country in times of conflict. They have displayed honor, bravery and a noble sense of duty. I can't imagine how any parent wouldn't be proud of their child for displaying such qualities. And if, God forbid, I were to lose one, I know that he chose his path and any one of them would be so very disappointed if I were to disgrace his memory and sacrifice by saying it was wrong.

In addition - it's the fine men and women of our military that have fought and died over the years that allow us the freedom to debate issues such as these. Before anyone dismisses or belittles the sacrifices, remember what you have gained from them.

I'm sure he meant he'd be delighted because he'd be proud of his son for his patriotism.
