It doesn't quite explode, but it creates LOTS of foam and gas. If you put the mento in and then cap it, the pressure will build up and the bottle will burst.

Yes. It causes a chemical reaction and causes the carbonation to react very quickly, and if you leave the lid on, it will explode. It also works with diet pepsi. another one that you might want to try is dumping a whole pixie stick into a bottle of root beer.

yep i seen it on tv apparety this is the ony kind of mint it works with, thats one programme im glad my little boy did not see
