I usually will go to somewhre like Olive Garden. Simple and effective. I was wondering, do you think places like Applebees or chilis are appropriate for first dates? Any other suggestions?

Depending on where you live...there are several places you can go to..for a first date..
California Pizza Kitchen
Olive Garden
Chilis
Buca Di Beppo
Applebees
but my personal favorite is .. PF Chang's China Bistro
Reason: The menus are quite large and you can share food with your date and talk and sit closer and get to know each other over food much better. :) The setting is quite nice and romantic.. :)

Do you have a CARRABAS? Ohmygosh, yum. Italian food, nice lighting.
There is always Outback etc. but I prefer little out of the way places. Cruise the phone book in your area and find something less commercial!

i think any place you feel comfortable taking her too will be just fine ,and if you want to have a long date just in case its going well go some where that you can enjoy your dinner and maybe have few dances , or cook her candle light dinner
at your place you would be very surprised? i hope this helps you out?

any nice place that you like is where you should go. anyplace that doesn't look cheap or is so loud you can't hear the other person. you should go to your favorite restaurant so you feel most comfortable.
